Ruth & Brent - Wedding - Bridal Prep (3 of 13)P I N I T

How long have you been photographing weddings for?
I photographed my first wedding in May 2012.

What do you particularly like about photographing weddings?
I adore all the emotions people express at a wedding. They are pure and full of happiness.

How would you describe your style?
50% candid and 50% creative portraits. Your parents always like the traditional posed photographs and I find even these are very important and they add a nice balance to your wedding collection.

Can I see a Full Wedding Gallery?

What’s sets you apart from other wedding photographers?
Wedding photography is a passion for me, I have both a photography and media studies background and I find this helps when creating unique photographs. I’m very friendly and will treat you like a friend as well as client. I work great with people which helps give you a very natural and relaxed photograph. Customer Service is important to me from my first point of contact to the wedding day and then when your disc of images and more is delivered. I will always go above and beyond in every aspect to ensure that your wedding planning is as stress-free as possible.

What happens on our pre-wedding shoot?
When you book your pre-wedding shoot with me I will send you outfit ideas and themes you would perhaps like to try. Then when we meet I will spend the first half hour getting to know you and your partner, I feel this gives the shoot a more relaxed and friendly feel. The session normally lasts for two hours with a small break/change of scenery thrown in. Pre-Wedding shoots are very relaxed, carefree and it’s a time for you and your partner to enjoy away from all the wedding stress. You can read more about a pre-wedding shoot here.

How long until we receive our photos?
My average turnaround time for images is approx 1 week for pre-wedding sessions and 3-4 weeks for weddings, if not shorter. And around 4-6 weeks later I give you a disc of your images, fully re-touched and ready for printing, along with anything else you ordered. You’ll also get low-resolution pictures on to the disc so you can post them on Facebook, email them and share them around with your friends and family.

How can we book you and want do you need to know?
To book me please use the contact form on this website, email me personally or phone me and when our informal meeting is arranged I’ll have a contract for you to sign and I’ll need the deposit should you book (£250.00) at that time your wedding is reserved on my calendar.

How long do I have to pay?
You have 7 days to pay the deposit and then to pay in full 30 days before your wedding.

How many hours do we need?
To cover an entire wedding I start from as early as 9am and finish an hour after the first dance, normally I am at a wedding for around 10/11 hours. I shoot 100-200 photos for every hour of coverage.

Who owns the print-copyright to the photographs?
You do!

Are there any hidden fees?
No of course not, you get what you pay for and if in weeks or months down the line you’d like to order something else (album/canvas/print box) just get in touch.

Are you insured?
Yes, I and all my equipment are fully insured!

Will you travel?
Of course. Travel expenses may occur depending on the location, please contact me about this.

We’re a bit awkward in front of the camera, is that going to be ok?
When I am photographing I try not to interfere with anything, so for most of the day don’t pay any attention to me and you’ll be fine. Even when I shoot couple shots, I’m secretly snapping the giggles and stolen looks when you’re not noticing.

Do we meet you before the wedding?
Yes, you meet me at least three times before your wedding. First our first meeting to discuss date, venue & your deposit. Second is if you have booked a pre-wedding shoot and third is if required a week before the wedding to double check over everything. Or the last is your wedding.

Do I get my deposit back if I cancel?
I’m sorry all deposits are non-refundable.

What happens if the weather turns sour?
Umbrellas! I’ll make do with whatever the weather we get.

What happens if you have to cancel?
I will never cancel unless something really important comes up for example the end of the world, but if any cancellation were to happen you would get all the money you have paid back and I will find you a replacement. I have never cancelled a wedding.

My photographer has cancelled on me! Can I hire you last minute?
If I am available for that date then of course you can.

I have to change my wedding date! Will there be any additional costs?
No, sometimes the situation changes, price doesn’t but you can only change your date once and I would need to be free for that date.

Why do I need a second photographer as well as you?
Grooms are often forgotten about and a second photographer is like having another pair of eyes on you. They are there to capture the day as well and of course they follow the groom around so nothing is missed.

I want to second shoot a wedding, how do I get in touch?
Please email me if you are interested in second shooting and we can work something out.
